While I realize that not all of my viewers recognize the "4th of July," I thought it would be fun to share some really fun, friendly and welcoming displays. Enjoy!
Inspirational eye candy!! I just got a white picnic table and can't wait to do it up next year like in that picture!! I wish I could find those swags somewhere they didn't cost a small fortune!! Thank you and happy 4th to you!! :P
As usual, your posts offer me such inspiration. Way better than flipping through magazines, and boy do I love magazines! Will you still be hosting Teacup Tuesdays? Sounds like fun, I'd like to join in!
Great 4th of July pics. Would love to live in that big white house. I could see you decorating it with all your beautiful ideas. I remember when we were little girls, Aunt Carmen lived in a house this style in Covina. It always seemed so big to me. It was huge with this basement were we would go and play hide and seek. Great Grandma lived with her at the time, and she always looked so prim and proper with her little pearls and little black sweater and skirt. We would have so much fun with the other cousins running around all over not a worry in the world. Anyway that is what this house reminds me of. Oh....such beautiful memories. ;-) Smooches!
I'm not sure where I was, but I just recently discovered "Country French" magazine with the spring/summer 09 issue. I just love it! Of course, I love BH&G Creative Collections Publication "100 Ideas Flea Market Style." If you haven't already, DO check them out!
I have loved the cottage style from the time I was a child. Back then, it was the fairy tale cottages that I'd find in my picture books. How I loved paging through and wishing that I could somehow magically transform myself into the picture. I would fantasize that I lived in that perfect little fairy tale cottage. I still fantasize about living in that perfect little cottage in the woods, or by the sea. I envision a beautiful, peaceful life that's influenced by love and giving. I want my home to welcome others and make them feel at home. I work full-time as an administrative secretary for a university, so I don't have a lot of time to spend on cottage decorating. Mostly, my life involves my wonderful husband and 3 children, my church and friends, and just trying to be the person that I know I should be. God is watching!

Oh how lovely, I wish we had a 4th July. I suppose in Ireland there is St Patrick's Day but it's not quite the same. Fabulous photos.
