Vintage Cake Plate

This lovely vintage cake plate was one of 4 items I purchased for a total of $5.00 from the same lady that sold me the cute little vintage table, that I shared with you on a previous post. I wasn't sure where I'd put it. I have so little space on my kitchen counter as it is. I really wanted this piece to shine, so to speak. So, until I found a place for it, I put it up in my cupboard where it sat for almost 2 weeks.

Sunday I was inspired. I thought..."I know, it would make a great soap dish!" I placed it on the counter of my 1/2 bath. The darling little bird nest was gifted to me and shares the space with the lemon verbena soap.

Doesn't it look oh so lovely sitting there? Of course, I may borrow it sometime and use it for it's intended purpose...maybe.
